Feed-in tariff is the supporting instrument introduced in Hungary. [54] In general all of the RES systems are eligible for support however the amount depends from technology capacity. Solar systems receives 27,86 HUF/kWh regardless from capacity. Wind power plants which capacity is from 20 to 50 MW receive from 11,37 to 31,13 HUF/kWh. Hydro power plants which capacity exceed 5 MW receive from 12,39 to 19,36 HUF/kWh. The rest of the RES systems receive from 11,37 to 31,13 HUF/kWh if the capacity is up to 20 MW, from 9,09 to 24,90 HUF/kWh for systems with capacity from 20 to 50 MW and from 12,39 to 19,36 HUF/kWh for power plants which capacity exceed 50 MW. [54] In Hungary the RES systems have priority moreover the grid operator is obligated to conclude contract about grid connection and cover all costs related with them. Eventual costs of the grid expansion are also covered by the grid operator. [54] Regulation requirements in Hungary are Act No. LXXXVI of 2007 and Decree Nr. 389/2007. [54]
