In the Republic of Estonia the RES are supported by the feed-in tariff. It is realized in two ways: price regulation I (Guaranteed payment) and price regulation II (Bonus). All of the RES technologies are supported, however wind power plants with capacity exceeded 100MW are not promoted. Guaranteed payment also can be lost if annual electricity production exceed 200GWh. Bonus can be lost if annual generation exceed 400 GWh. [54]

The RES power plants does not have priority in grid connection however their also can not be discriminated. The grid operator is obligated to connect all power plants and the cost of the grid upgrading are covered by users. [54]

Regulation requirement in Estonia is Electricity Market Act. [54]
