INTRODUCTION

Electricity is vital for everyone. It is almost 200 year, when George Simon Ohm, discovered a relation between current in the wire and voltage. Fact is, that nowadays nobody can imagine living without electricity. It is present in all part of life. When people meet with a lack of electricity, they realise, that they are not able to do anything. It is why all countries, are worried about energy resources to cover growing electricity demand. One way to ensure energy security is using nuclear energy. Uranium delivery is stable and its resources are located in politically predictable countries. It ensures security of supplies. Unit cost of fuel is low, and ore deposit of uranium, with present energy demand, should be sufficient to use by existing nuclear power plants for some time.

Nevertheless very serious reservation to nuclear energy, large CAPEX cost, long investment’s period, nuclear security, power plants decommissioning and not solved problem such as high radioactive nuclear wastes, leads to serious discussion about the nuclear power industry.

Such discussion should contain technological, market, economical, environmental aspects, and also should describe social acceptance for the nuclear power plants.

The webpage presents several views on nuclear problems.
