RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES

Since XVI century, when the humanity has discovered electricity, people can not imagine living without electrical devices but it is not possible to make the electricity from nothing. To produce electrical energy we need to supply energy in other form like coal, oil or gas. But since the fuel prices have been growing up and the available resources have been running out, humanity has realized that they need other resources than fossil fuels. Then have born a new idea to use energy gathered in nature. The age of Renewable Energy Sources (the RES) has begun.

At present we can produce electricity from wind, sunbeams, oceans and seas tides or waves, bio-gasses, bio-mass and underground warm. All of this technologies have many advantages but also some disadvantages. They are relatively inexpensive and have social acceptance but some of them are very expensive and people does not want them in their own backyard. In the chapters below I describe the most common renewable energy sources.
