Nuclear safety

Philosophy of nuclear safety is based on, borrowed from military way of activity, defence in depth. Today, there is no reactor's producer who does not put large effort to meet goals of defence in depth. This general term contains particularly all industry duties to ensure safe and secure nuclear power plant operation. Apart from this main framework for development of nuclear safety, reactors are designed with barrier system, on purpose protection during accident. Additionally reactor has to meet with special requirements during accident and be able to overcome one security system failure.
