Dr. Ryszard Pawełek graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Lodz University of Technology (LUT) with specialisation in electrical power engineering. In 1986 she received her Ph.D. degree. From 1986 he is the assistant professor at the LUT. Area of interest of dr. R. Pawełek encompasses: quality of supply, distributed generation, modelling and simulation of electrical network and microgrids operation. The scientific achievements includes over 120 papers regarding power quality, electromagnetic disturbances compensation, modelling of power system equipment, integration of distributed generation in power systems and optimisation of microgrids operation. She is the reviewer of domestic and international conferences and periodicals. Dr. Pawełek was the main executor of LUT team participating in UE projects DISPOWER, DERlab, DERRI concerning the integration of distributed energy resources in power system. In 2000-2011 he was also the leader of one and the main executor of four national projects dedicated the quality of supply and optimization of operation of electrical power microgrids. Dr. R. Pawełek was awarded the international certificate of Power Quality Specialist by Leonardo Power Quality Initiative. He is the member of SEP and vice president for science of the Polish Committee for Quality and Efficient Use of Electricity.
