Projekt Cotevos

COTEVOS main objective is to establish the optimal structure and capacities:

to test the conformance, interoperability and performance of the different systems
to be included in the infrastructure for smart charging of Electric Vehicles (EV)

Several partners are involved in consortium creation: AIT (Austria), Altra - IVECO (Italy), DERlab, DTU (Denmark), ETREL (Slovenia), IWES - Fraunhoffer (Germany), Lodz University of Technology, RSE (Italy), TNO (Netherlands) and Zapadoslovenska Distribucna (Slovakia).

According to the mandates of The European Commission (EC) coordinated interoperability mandates, M/4683, M/4534and M/4905, the project follows the issues:

Ensure interoperability and connectivity between the electricity supply point and electric vehicles, including the charger of their removable batteries, so that this charger can be connected and be interoperable in all EU Member States,
Appropriately consider any smart-charging issue with respect to the charging of electric vehicles,
Appropriately consider safety risks and electromagnetic compatibility of the charger of electric vehicles in the field of Directive 2006/95/EC (LVD) and Directive 2004/108/EC (EMC).

AThe project will last 30 months, beginning from September 1, 2013. The activity is divided into 7 main workpackages (WP). Institute of Electrical Power Engineering at the Lodz University of Technology is a leader of first part WP1 and is involved in majority of tasks among other WP.
