The Scientific–Technical conference EPNet 2016 was held in Szklarska Poręba from 19 to 21 Seprember 2016, which leitmotive were Electrical Power Networks. Discussed subjects were associated with:

• Recording of disturbances and fault location in power lines

• Power quality and reliability of energy delivery

• New technologies in electrical power equipment

• Distributed generation SMART GRIDS

• Losses optimization in power networks

• Electrical energy demand control

During the conference there were many presentations form domestic and foreign universities. Also, employees of the Institute of Electrical Power Engineering presented their scientific articles:

• Control of Low Voltage Microgrid in Autonomous Operation Mode, Michał Małaczek, Irena Wasiak

• Signal Parameters Identification Method Used in Wide-Area Measurement Systems, Małgorzata Binek, Andrzej Kanicki, Piotr Korbel
