Real Time Digital Simulator RTDS

Real Time Power System Simulator manufactured by RTDS Technologies is a digital simulator designed for:

simulation of the various network operation in real time ,

modelling of the power electronic systems (m.in. HVDC, SVC, TCSC),

developing of the fully configurable sub-network including : VSC, transformers, lines, cables, breakers, filters, etc

simulation of transitional states in the power system

Hardware-in-the-loop simulation

modelling of the extended circuits and control systems used in the PV, STATCOM, HVDC

Examination of protective realays (ABB, Alstom Grid, GE, Nari,Relay, Siemens, SEL, Toshiba, Zi.)

RTDS Simulator installed in the DER Laboratory of the Institute of Electrical Power Engineering works together with multi-function generator's Netwave Emtest. Unique functionality such as the possibility of coupling the simulated system or components of the power system with real devices is achieved in this way. RTDS is the only such device in Poland
