Stativ and Tracking PV systems

The Institute of Electrical Power Engineering owned two PV systems: static and tracking. Static PV is located at the south side of the A11 building. It involves 37 cells, with a cumulative power of 6 kWp, divided into separated phases. Tracking PV system is set on the roof of A11 building and it consists of 3 panels by 15 moduls each.

Each panel in the tracking system is constructed within the mast equipped with hydraulic actuators, allowing for the panels rotation in both horizontal and vertical directions. By the system, panels are always set with the optimal angle towards the sun rays. It supports more effective use of the sun energy. The tracking systems with total nominal power of 9kWp operates with 3 kWp per phase.

Both systems are inverter-based grid connected. Inverters operate as current sources and are fully automatic.
